This chisel set is an advanced performance set of chisels for turners looking for longer service life and superior edge holding capabilities over standard HSS chisels.  These chisels have been made from M2 high-speed steel which has been cryogenically hardened to last a lifetime. Cryogenic hardening is a technical process, where the steel is cooled down to -185°C after hardening, resulting in an edge that will last up to 5 times longer than conventionally hardened high-speed steel. The blades have a super fine cutting edge with reduced burr formation, which results in a clean, smooth finish and a superior feel in use. With European black ash handles, distinctive silver ferrules and handle detail, this set will look great in any woodturner's shop, balanced well for a comfortable turning experience. The blades are remarkably fast and easy to sharpen, as they allow you to remove less material to produce a perfect razor sharp edge. The blades are hardened to HRC63-65 and are ready to use, having been beveled, sharpened and polished right from the factory. These beautiful M2 Cryo chisels offer extra-long 320mm (12.59”) handles for comfort and stability with the laser etched steel chisels measuring from 170-220mm (6.5" to 8.5") in length.  This set is a perfect choice for any wood turner looking for a beautiful tool that will offer a lifetime of support with your creativity on a wood lathe.

I love these cutting boards! I've had them about 3 weeks, and use them multiple times per day. They are flat, rigid, lightweight, easy to handle, easy to clean, dry fast, and the range of sizes is great. Much better than the plastic cutting boards they replaced! The top and bottom of each cutting board is a single piece of bamboo. On the larger boards, one or more darker bands across the board show the bamboo's natural joints, called nodes. The boards are gorgeous to look at, a pleasure to work on, and nice to touch. (I LOVE the rounded edges.) Each board is a sandwich: top, core, bottom, with all joints on the edges of the board so no glued joint touches your food. The working surfaces smell only of bamboo. (If I sniff the edges where the glued joints are, I can faintly smell wood glue.) The boards are finished with odorless food-grade mineral oil. After 2 weeks of daily use and detergent scrubs, I started to see a slight dulling of the finish. I refreshed them using the same butcher block oil (odorless food-grade mineral oil) I use on wooden cutting boards. I made sure the bamboo was thoroughly dry, wiped on a small amount of oil, and let them dry overnight in my vertical cutting board rack. This returned the finish to like-new condition.
