Rosone wordt gemaakt van de negroamaro druif, een variëteit die sinds de 6e eeuw voor Christus in het zuiden van Puglia wordt verbouwd. De kleur is intensrood met granaatreflecties. Het is een krachtige wijn vol jamachtig fruit met typische hints van het mediterrane terroir en tertaire tonen van eikenhoutenvaten van vanille en kruidnagel. In de smaak is de wijn vol, spicy en heeft het een zachte en aanhoudende afdronk.
De negroamaro druiven zijn afkomstig uit het noorden van de provincie Lecce in het hart van Salento. Het terroir bestaat uit kalkhoudende klei. De winters zijn hier matig en de lentes en zomers heet en erg droog. De druiven worden streng geselecteerd en zijn afkomstig van wijngaarden met een lage opbrengst. Een deel van de druiven worden voor de productie van Rosone gekneusd aan de plant en ondergaan zo een lichte droging. Dit maakt het mogelijk om de aroma's te concentreren voor het oogsten door het voortvloeiende waterverlies van ongeveer 20 tot 30%. Na het oogsten volgt een traditionele maceratie gedurende 10 tot 12 dagen en fermentatie onder gecontroleerde temperaturen waarna malolactische gisting volgt. Een deel van de wijn rijpt vervolgens 8-10 maanden in Franse eikenhouten vaten. Tenslotte rust de wijn nog 2-3 maanden op fles.

Comfy and Cool Shark Shirt

We live near the beach, so I love finding ocean themed clothing for my little grandson. He loves this colorful swimming sharks crew neck t-shirt. He says it looks "cool." The cotton blend material is soft and and gentle against his skin. It's breathable and slightly stretchy. . The stitching is straight and consistent with no loose threads. We have fun talking about the different sharks, and the shirt looks great with his everyday jeans, joggers, or shorts. If you want some growing room, I suggest ordering a size up. The 5T is just a little long and roomy in the shoulders for my grandson who usually wears size 4. For laundering, I turn the shirt inside out and wash on cold to preserve the print. I haven't noticed any shrinkage or fading. I've been drying it on a warm setting (though cool is ideal), but I’m pretty careful not to leave it in the dryer too long to avoid wrinkles. He's been wearing it since his birthday in February, and so far, it's kept its shape, and seems to resist stains. If you have a little one that loves sharks, this check out this comfy ocean themed crew neck.
