De meeste audiocomponenten hebben een cirkelvormige ringkerntransformator als kern. Deze transformatoren zijn uitstekend, maar hebben één groot nadeel. Elke inkomende gelijkspanning, die kan variëren van 1.000 mV tot enkele honderden millivolt, veroorzaakt een vervelende 'mechanische brom'. Net als je naar de stilste nummers luistert, pikken je oren een vervelende, lage brom op in je audiocomponent. Plaats de DC Blocker+ bij de IEC-ingang van de audiocomponent om te voorkomen dat er gelijkstroom in de component terechtkomt en 'brom' veroorzaakt. Installeer er een op de inkomende netspanning van elke audiocomponent om een rustige, 'brom'-vrije luisterervaring te garanderen.
