Naast het Sonic Team met Knuckles en Tails als bondgenoten zijn er nog drie andere teams waar mee gespeeld kan worden, met allemaal andere kwaliteiten. Langdurige gameplay en speelplezier staat dus garant in Sonic Heroes.
