100% Nebbiolo

Mooie, glanzende kersenrode kleur met robijn rode reflectie die met veroudering meer naar granaat rood met bruin/oranje reflectie evolueert. Aroma's van kersen/krieken en rozen met hints van leder, tabak en kruidnagel. Vol en krachtig karakter dat een opmerkelijke finesse en evenwicht etaleert. Indrukwekkende, lange afdronk.

Een wijn waar elke wijnliefhebber graag, zo even op zich, bij stil blijft staan of van kan genieten maar natuurlijk ook een meerwaarde is bij veredelde (gegrilde) vleesgerechten en wild als hinde, reebok en everzwijn.

Klimaat
Warm en gematigd klimaat met warme en redelijk droge zomers maar toch met regelmatige neerslag. De winters kunnen koel maar niet echt koud zijn met redelijk veel neerslag. Zowel de bergen als de Middellandse zee spelen een grote rol.

Ondergrond
La Morra: Arme zandgronden met kalkhoudende tufsteen.

Vinificatie
In oktober worden de druiven met de hand geplukt. Na voorzichtige persing volgt een maceratie van 19 dagen op de pelletjes en wordt de fermentatie opgestart in cementen kuipen onder gecontroleerde temperatuur. Daarna rijpt de wijn verder op grote houten vaten gedurende 40 maand. Daarna rijpt hij nog een half jaar verder op fles alvorens op de markt te worden gebracht.
