New directional Shimano 105 | SLX chain for 11-speed drivetrains. The optimized geometry of the chain links offers excellent shifting performance in all conditions. Even mud and dirt have little surface area to adhere to thanks to the sophisticated design.
Combined with SIL-TEC, Shimano's new surface coating, this generates very high friction. Compared to simple coatings, SIL-TEC is a very special coating process. Thanks to the use of embedded fluorine particles, system performance is improved. The coating also reduces wear, noise, and sliding friction, is dirt-repellent, and abrasion-resistant, which significantly increases the durability of components treated with SIL-TEC.
