Description
The Essential Guide to Rocky Mountain Mushrooms by Habitatby Cathy L. Cripps, Vera S. Evenson, and Michael Kuo 2015 Our Take This is a different type of mushroom guide because its focus is the habitat of the mushrooms. Is breaks the mushrooms down by their habitats (12 total) like Ponderosa Pine Forest or Cottonwood Riparian. Plus, it dives deep into the habitat themselves, and describing their flora, fauna and locations. Strictly speaking, this is not an ID book, and shouldn't be purchased for that reason.

Our Take
This is a different type of mushroom guide because its focus is the habitat of the mushrooms. The obvious thing to say here is that most mushrooms are found in a distinct habitat, and if you study them from that perspective, they really are easier to understand and identify. Quite a nice book to take your mushroom knowledge to the next level and a wonderful complement to an ID book.
