I will say that there was a decent amount for the price. The texture and cut were good on the whole pieces. Also, some of the bites left a weird coating and nasty taste on my tongue, like baking soda or something, but definitely an off taste. I had my own beef jerky store for several years, so I'm a connoisseur, but no snob. -----update 8/13/2019------- I contacted customer service via the email on the bag and got a response. They sent me a new bag and here is the email I sent them back. Very happy now. ....The biltong showed up last Thursday! I'm sorry i kept forgetting to email you. It is delicious. It's night and day difference between the bag I got through Amazon originally. This bag was pristine and the taste is spot on. Every piece is a perfect slice, no shreds or fluff. Dark, rich brown color, not hay colored like the old bag. I really think that the other bag got very hot or something and out the taste off. Thank you so much. Now I know that if I am in the mood for biltong, Ayoba-yo is a good choice. Thanks for the customer service as well.....

I have been lucky to visit South Africa a few times in my life. What is not lucky is coming home to the United States and craving biltong.
