Hi-Performance 5/16" Chromoly Pushrods – Stock Length (Set of 8)
Eliminate valvetrain flex and protect your high-performance engine with this set of eight heavy-duty steel pushrods. Engineered to withstand the increased pressures of high-lift camshafts and dual valve springs, these pushrods are a critical upgrade for any 1300cc-1600cc build that sees high RPM use.
Constructed from heat-treated 5/16" steel tubing with a 1.45mm (.057") wall thickness, these rods offer a significant strength increase over stock aluminum units. They come fully assembled with high-carbon steel tips pre-installed, allowing for a fast and straightforward installation during your next top-end service or engine build.

Vehicle & Engine Fitment
Designed for air-cooled engines running standard geometry and high-performance valvetrains:
-
Engine Type: VW Type 1 (1300cc, 1500cc, and 1600cc based engines).
-
VW Type 1: Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Thing (1966–1979).
-
VW Type 2: Bus/Transporter (1966–1971).
-
VW Type 3: Notchback, Squareback, Fastback (1966–1973).
Tech Tip: While these are stock length, they are highly recommended for any engine running dual valve springs. The increased rigidity ensures your rocker arm movement is translated directly into valve lift rather than being lost to pushrod "bowing" at high RPM.
