A hardback book with dust jacket in very good condition.  Editors Stephen Jones and Kim Newman, with a foreword by Ramsey Campbell and contributions by 100 top horror writers who each contribute a two-page essay on their favorite reads.  Fascinating to find out who likes what and why.  The great majority are modern authors but Lovecraft writes about Machen, E A Poe about Chambers and M R James about Le Fanu.  A treat.  Highly recommended.  Signed by Jones with a cartoon signature.

Condition:  Good as new.  Text firm and clean.  A scratch to front cover of dust jacket which is in a protective cover.

Bugs Within Code

The blueprint code where we change the material of the character skeletal mesh has a serious game breaking bug. When the player picks up just ONE of the spheres, the game exits after three seconds despite the fact that there are still two remaining. I followed the code to the letter, even going out of my way to using the exact same engine version as in the book. There are no hints nor tips within the book that offers solutions should any problems arise. Therefore, one would expect the code to be flawless and bug free. At this point, one would be better off seeking free tutorials from elsewhere. The book does not go in depth with anything considered 'advanced' (interactive doors). Very disappointing considering how much one pays for the book.

Pros: * Easy to comprehend * Well laid out * The tone of the author is very pleasant and not boring at all * Encourages you to experiment with what you've learned and encourages you to go out explore even further * He makes you feel smart * He makes you feel like you actually have a shot at being a paid developer Cons: * There were a few typos and some missing syntax in a few of the coding examples, but even with that being the case this book is still awesome Once I land a gig here in the next three months it'll be thanks to this book and this amazing author. And I’m not ready to call myself a software engineer any time soon. I think I would need to take about 3 college courses in software engineering and this book would be the first textbook. I would recommend that the index be expanded. I would recommend a book on Python to go with this book.
