"A book of quiet risks, deeply felt, that brings together the past and the present, history and the future…. a book that manages to speak to the universal as well as the particular." – John Sanbonmatsu , Professor of Philosophy

Through several hundred paintings, drawings, and photographs in dialogue with lyrical text, this tender and brave book brings the reader in on the intimate process of learning a craft when it’s driven by dreams.

In her decades of acupuncture practice, Jennie Evans has used pulses in bodies to guide her healing touch, attuned to the energies that connect and animate us. In Pulses: A Memoir Through Art, Jennie shares her journey beginning at age 50 to direct this deep sensitivity inward, unfurling her innate creative forces from the buried seeds of dreams about learning to draw.

Jennie’s path is also one of reclamation, as her creative process leads her to revisit her charged German and Jewish ancestries, drawing insight from the past to guide her hopes for our collective future. With her experience of how creativity uncovers insights, restores convictions, and ignites change, she heeds today’s clarion call to bear witness in our warming world, and invites us to activate these possibilities for ourselves. How might this true story spark impulses of your own?

Jennie Ruth Evans is an artist, activist and acupuncturist. She also enjoys things that don’t start with the letter A.

A Difficult to Find T-Shirt
These T-Shirts are nice. A super difficult to find. The manufacturer calls it a mock-turtle neck (MTN). But the collar height is actually a bit shorter than the traditional MTN, which is great. It's closer to a regular T-Shirt that comes all the way to the neckline. And very somt a comfortable. This is the perfect style of T-Shirt to wear under a sportscoat, if desired. Or under a shirt where you want the T-Shirt to show for contrast. Just the right look.

Nice shirts for the price! But do not recommend for thick body types.
I bought 3 different ones. 2 Mediums and 1 2XL. The mediums fit correct and really nice! Would definitely recommend for the price! More like a exercise material, and sticks to your body shape... Sooo the 2Xl did not fit the person correct. Was so tight... And the strech is to stick to your body... So would not recommend for anyone a bit hefty or fit tbh. But the shirts are good materials and feel nice for a fresh day out or to use as gym clothes!!
