Lords of the Underground (L.O.T.U.G.) is a hip-hop trio consisting of Newark, New Jersey's MC's Mr. Funke, Dupre 'Doitall' Kelly and Cleveland-native DJ Lord Jazz who met while still at University. Introduced by a friend they hooked up with legendary producer and radio personality Marley Marl, and with him and K-Def, laid the basis for their 1993 debut album Here Come The Lords, which celebrates it's 25th Anniversary in 2018. Although their name might suggest violent gangsta rap, Lords of the Underground match socially conscious raps with funky drum breaks, samples and hard hitting beats. Their first singles 'Psycho', 'Funky Child' and the #1 Hip-Hop hit single, the group's signature song, 'Chief Rocka' were all featured on the first album which reached #16 on the Billboard R&B chart and went to #66 on the Billboard 200 album chart. By the end of 1993, Lords of the Underground received an award from BET as best rap group of the year, 'Chief Rocka' became the group's most successful single and the line 'I live for the funk, I die for the funk' was sampled by The Notorious BIG RL & K-DEF

Looks great, doesn't hold much so measure carefully

I got this organizer for my husband to keep his stuff by the door. While it's a little smaller than I'd hoped, it looks great in the entryway. It's super easy to snap together, but feels like the material could be damaged easily if you're not careful. He is able to store his keys, wallet, and sunglasses in it, and throws hit hat on top. Overall we are really happy with it.

Perfect

Just what I needed. The size is perfect as I didn’t want anything too large to place my watches and other accessories inside near the corner of my desk. Its size is essentially 7x7, and the design is sleek compared to other organizer holders. I got the color in blue and it looks stunning with the rest of my setup. I’m unsure about other reviewers, but mine came safely and the leather walls are decently thick, so it’s not too flimsy when buttoned together which holds very securely. There are hole spaces at the bottom corners once assembled, so if you have super small items such as beads or really small jewelry, they could potentially fall out, but most of my items are large enough that won’t be of concern. If you have a wire charger near by, the holes could be used to charge your smartphone inside, which has its own practical usage. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it if you’re on a lookout for a sleek but compact organizer holder, and I personally will consider getting another one in the future for myself for other household belongings.

Very attractive!

I purchased this « top of the dresser » organizer for my husband to have a place to put pocket items at the end of the day. It is weighted enough that he can open it with one hand. There is plenty of room for his billfold wallet, glasses, and other pocket items. I added a small low divided wooden organizer to the inside so that smaller items like pocket change wouldn’t rattle around. The black choice looks great atop the white dresser with its black drawer handles, and the gold accent color just glows when sunshine touches it. Over all this item is well made, very reasonably priced, attractive, and functional ! I recommend it for storage and / or gifting.
