Back by popular demand -- again Our third anthology featuring original Star Trek(R), Star Trek: The Next Generation(R), Star Trek: Deep Space Nine(R), and Star Trek: Voyager(R) stories written by Star Trek fans, for Star Trek fans
Each Strange New Worlds competition draws a greater response than the last. The final selections gathered here were chosen from an overwhelming number of entries by virtue of their originality and style. With wit, compassion, and an affection for all things Star Trek, these brand-new authors take us where Star Trek has never gone before.
Their tales rocket across the length and breadth of Federation time and space, from when Captain Kirk explored the galaxy on the first Starship Enterprise(TM), through Captain Picard's U.S.S. Enterprise(TM) 1701-D and Captain Sisko's Deep Space Nine(TM), to Captain Janeway's Starship Voyager(TM), with many more fascinating stops along the way.
Find out what happens in the Star Trek universe when fans -- like you -- take the helm

Not a Users Guide
Format: Paperback
Although many readers may find this book useful, it describes a particular approach to Powerpoint. It is not anything like a comprehensive users guide.

Just linear
Format: Paperback
I appreciate that it helps to organize the chaos of information, but I just used the template verbatim with my manager and it did not go very well. He said this linear approach does not work anymore with high-level corporate audiences. They want to cut right to the chase and start to dig into the deep details. This layout with simple images, even if you just pull away the map and anchor slides, makes the storytelling too much like a story, not giving enough credit to the speed at which certain audiences can and do process data on a slide. It was an interesting exercise and I still think this linear layout works in some cases. Just not if you are trying to communicate business case or other C-suite type of information.
