The historic Bath Festival performance by Led Zeppelin, one of the most talked-about live shows in the band's history. On June 28, 1970, they headlined the largest outdoor festival in the UK at the time, captivating over 200,000 spectators and solidifying their popularity and success. This legendary live show is unforgettable, featuring the shocking opening of "Immigrant Song," which had not yet been released, and the first performance of "That's the Way," introduced as "The Boy Next Door." Over the years, numerous titles have been released documenting this iconic performance, but this Special Edition includes a nearly complete setlist based on multiple existing audio sources.Given that soundboard recordings or full versions of this show have not existed until now, this release includes re-edited versions of audience recordings, some of which were discovered in recent years, ranging from incomplete and poor-quality to newly unearthed material. With the latest AI audio editing Spectral DEMIX technology, the historic live sound is faithfully and fully recreated. Through partial restoration and noise reduction, and the enhancement of thin, flat audio, Spectral DEMIX brings back deep bass, re-structures the layers of vocals and instruments, and transforms the sound into a three-dimensional, powerful listening experience. This new edited sound is unprecedented.The DVD features rare color footage recently discovered and compiled into an original edit for the film archive. Though the footage is incomplete, it includes compelling moments, such as backstage scenes, the band's stage entrance, and performance shots, some of which are iconic images familiar from photographs. The original film is silent, so background music has been added to the audio part, but live audio from the performance has been synchronized with the footage. This special collection runs for a total of 24 minutes and also includes remade versions of two additional tracks, reconstructed from different angles and soundboard (Royal Albert Hall) recordings.This is an unmissable collector’s item—a definitive 2CD & DVD Special Edition of Led Zeppelin's legendary live performance, offering both new audio edits and rare video footage.
