It's cold. The wells of power are weakening and the forces of Night grow strong. The gods are real, and still have some power, mostly to do harm. The Instrumentalities of the Night are the worst of these.

Piper Hecht, born Else Tage, survived a battle with the Instrumentalities. Now he's Captain-General of the armies fighting a crusade for Patriarch Sublime V. Intrigues swirl around the throne of the Grail Empire, as the imperial family's enemy Anne of Menand raises money to help the perpetually indebted Patriarch finance his crusades. To reduce his own vulnerability, sickly young Emperor Lothar assigns his two half-sisters--his immediate heirs--to their own realms.

Now Piper Hecht learns that the legendary sorcerer Cloven Februaren, referred to as the Ninth Unknown, is still alive, more than 100 years old, and on Piper's side. As the dynastic politics of the Empire become even more convoluted, it's clear that while the old gods may be fading, they're determined to do everything they can to bend the doings of men to their own advantage.

Sieges, explosions, betrayals, Anti-Patriarchs, and suspicious deaths will ensue as the great chess game plays itself out, with Piper Hecht at the center of it all...

In Lord of the Silent Kingdom, Glen Cook has created a complex and original sequel to The Tyranny of the Night, continuing this intriguing fantasy epic.

Quality product for fair price
Color: Leather - Brown
Good quality, light, material felt good. Quite a few card slots. The magnet is not super strong so you can’t carry a lot of cash, but it is good enough to make it feel secure.

Lightweight and durable
Color: Grey
My husband loves this wallet because it's super lightweight but durable. He doesn't like the bulkiness of most leather wallets so this was the perfect fit. The topographical pattern is unique

Super cute!
Color: Multi
This is advertised for men, but I bought it for myself and absolutely love it! It’s very cute, lightweight and slim to just slip in your pocket for a quick run in instead of bringing your whole billfold. Good quality and cute design! Fits 2 cards on each side and has pocket in the middle for cash.

Card holder yes, 'wallet' not so much, and it has a 'weathered' look as shown in their pictures.
Color: Multi
This little card holder feels pretty tough, and the card slots are tight. I could fit 5 cards into it--4 in the outside slots and 1 in the pocket in the middle. I was hoping that I could use it as a wallet and not just a card holder, but the pocket in the middle is very tight just like the other 4 slots on the outside, and you CAN stuff money in there but it's not very convenient to get it out. Thier claim of "...providing efficient organization and easy access to all your essential cards and cash" is a bit of a stretch, because if you have cards in the 4 outer slots the middle pocket becomes very tight, and not convenient or enjoyable to put cash in and harder to get it out. I got the striped multicolor version, and it looks really nice and cool, though they might have described it as 'vintage' or having a 'worn' look, as it sort of seems like it's been weathered or used. You can see this for yourself in the pictures they provide on the product page--there are those little white spots on it, as if it is old and worn. Still looks cool but I thought I would mention it, so you know what you are getting. I gave it only 4 Stars mainly because I was hoping it could be used better as a wallet and not just a card holder, and the middle pocket is a bit too tight for it to function that way in my opinion, but also because of its 'worn' look, as I was expecting it to look more 'brand new' and not so weathered.
