Digitally remastered edition including 16 page full color booklet with 3,500 word essay, enhanced artwork and full artist involvement. For Rough Cutt, their career was, in retrospect, all about missed opportunity. As one of the first L.A. based bands to excite the early eighties scene, and signed to label behemoths Warner Brothers Records, they were expected to feed the flames of a growing interest in hard rock. Their debut album was, in turn, feted and praised, but failed, despite being championed by Ronnie James Dio, to connect commercially with the record buying public. Pretty soon, they were being overtaken by fellow contenders such as Quiet Riot, Mötley Crüe and Dokken. Despite the lack of achievement, the band was ushered back into the studio to record a follow up album, Rough Cutt Wants You! Issued in 1986. In contrast to their debut, it was a record of stylistic advancement, showcasing the band in a more mature light, something more befitting their real ability. Produced by one of the truly great producers of the era Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, Starz), and recorded in their home town of Los Angeles, the sound is less abrasive and far more focused, relying on great arrangements and sublime rhythms. Tracks such as 'Don't Settle For Less', 'Double Trouble', 'Bad Reputation' and, especially 'The Night Cries Out (For You)' finds them casting their net wider by introducing a sophistication beyond the regular meat 'n potatoes that you might expect from such a hard rocking collective.

More power, slightly lower (8%) MPG.
Size: (Pack of 1)
Installed on a 2.0 liter Subaru Impreza. I drive up/down the I5 in california 3-4 times a year. For those that don't know there is about a 200 mile flat stretch where everyone runs at 75-85mph. With various filters (FRAM, BOSCH, Subaru OEM), I would consistently get 29.8 mpg. Once I installed the K&N, I could feel the car pulling with a bit more power, but I noticed that I was getting about 27.5 mpg. Totally worth it as the impreza is a little under powered and I don't drive many miles (6k/year) but if you are putting a lot of miles on your car, you may want to have more mpg.

Very good quality comparable to OEM at a much more reasonable price point.
Size: (Pack of 1)
Last December we bought our first new car in 21 years and the first thing I did is stock up on cabin and engine air filters. I've got nothing against dealership OEM parts and pieces but what I do have an issue with is the prices. Luckily, we all have a bit of control over access to OEM quality parts and pieces at significantly more reasonable prices via Amazon. This filter and it's matching cabin filter are excellent in value and take less than 5 minutes to replace. Compare that to paying the hourly rate at your dealer plus the dealership retail price and you'll do what I did and stock up on these two filters. Definitely recommended.
