Description:

The T2R-F08 race twin disc kit is designed to offer improved wear, heat capacity, and long life compared to single disc kits. Utilizing a proprietary Positive Lift Floater System design, this kit ensures quiet operation with no floater rattle and no posts to wear.

ACT twin disc kits undergo an exclusive four-stage heat-treating process on all diaphragms. The twin disc design allows for equal disengagement for discs. The 6-pad rigid race discs are crafted with high-quality ceramic friction materials for superior performance.

The chrome-moly hub is heat-treated for strength and durability. The lightweight, rigid design enables quicker shifts and trouble-free service. The kit includes a CNC-machined and dynamically balanced flywheel, pressure plate, two discs, a floater, flywheel, and alignment tool. Some kits may also include a pilot bearing and release bearing.

Features:

  • Feel: Moderate to heavy pedal effort, quick shifts, aggressive engagement, with OE to moderate gear rattle.
  • Life: Disc surfaces doubled for improved wear, heat capacity, and longer life, further extended by ACT's exclusive diaphragm design.
  • Quality: Carefully engineered, precisely assembled, accurately balanced, with select ceramic friction materials for high heat tolerance and maximum performance.
  • Recommended Use: Recommended for race use only.
  • ACT Difference: 100% clamp load tested and dynamically computer balanced for smooth high RPM reliability.

Dr. G.
Format: Paperback
Jesse Graves (a.k.a. "Dr. G.") is one of my professors at East Tennessee State University. Not only is he a great teacher, he is a very talented poet. I would recommend his work to anyone! Anyone that does not like his work probably just failed his class. :p

Incredibly Prescient -- Touches On The Major Trends Of Our Times
Format: Hardcover
I was blown away by the fact that the author started writing this book a couple of years ago, before artificial intelligence was in the news, and before the topic and trend of loneliness became so prevalent. The clairvoyance is uncanny and the storyline, while fictional, is totally believable given what's going on in our world today. This is why the novel almost reads like nonfiction, but the plotline carries you forward like a fictional thriller. I audibly gasped, "Holy crap" during the plot twist at the end of the book. Truly a work of art, there is no doubt that this will be adapted for either a movie or a series.

Deeply human, yet visionary
Format: Kindle
This book takes a thoughtful approach to the notion of loneliness in the faces of AI and the many robotic companions already in development or on the market.

Compelling story, beautifully written
Format: Kindle
Loneliness & Company was a fantastic read. In a truly novel take and an incredibly fun read, Charlee Dyroff confronts both the growing endemic of loneliness and the looming threat of AI, pushing us subtly to think deeply and thoughtfully about the implications of both. More than that though, Loneliness & Company is beautifully written, populated by great characters and is driven forward with a compelling, narrative. Its the first book in a very long while that I couldn't wait to get back to. Definitely would give this my strongest recommendation.

3.5
Format: Hardcover
This is a smart book, an interesting book but it was hard for me to read as the style was more technical/detached than i like. It worked for the story but not for the kind of reader I am. It is worth the read though despite this 3.5
