The Panasonic 100-400mm is a great lens for shooting both stills and video, and liked by wildlife and sports photographers using the M43 mount system cameras. The high-speed AF motor is both quiet and precise, and a focus limiter function can be employed to constrain the focusing range for even quicker performance. Additionally, the physical design of the lens features construction that improves dust and moisture resistance for use in inclement weather conditions. It is relatively lightweight and compact so is still suitable for hand-held shooting. The 100-400mm f/4-6.3 also features a removable rotating tripod collar for fast switching between horizontal and vertical shooting when working with a monopod or tripod.
