I did not use the phone carrier as I am not willing to take the chance of it falling off, although it hasn’t . 120 miles of rough terrain so far with them. They hold up to a pressure washer as well. As long as they are zipped up water stays out. Overall they’re a great add on if you don’t want to lose rack space and save some money Only downside is the zippers are awful
