19550 Sea colour aran Blue Faced Leicester/Gotland

These are 100g skeins of Aran weight Blue Faced Leicester/Gotland yarn.

This is a bouncy yarn made of two types of fleece blended together which give a softly marbled finish and depth to the final colours. It would be lovely used on its own for hats, mittens, jumpers, shawls, cardigans and tees. It could also be held together with Seedhead Kidsilk or Umbel Alpaca silk to add a soft halo or fluff.

75% Blue Faced Leicester, 25% Gotland - Aran 100g Skeins Approx. 170m

Hand dyed with Saxon Blue to give the colour of the sea, a green/turquoise.

Dye lot 19550.

I have tried to capture the colour of the yarn as accurately as possible. Please bear in mind that monitors vary and colours can be perceived differently.

Due to the nature of hand dyeing, the colours in each skein may be slightly different and no two skeins will be identical. As with any hand dyed wool, if using more than one skein then alternating skeins on every couple of rows will help to balance any slight differences.

I have rinsed the yarn until it runs clear. However, some dye may remain.
I recommend you soak your finished item in a gentle/pH neutral soap. Natural dyes can change or fade slightly as they age. Hang to dry away from direct sunlight and store in a dark place.
