Standort: epiphytisch, terrestrisch, In den Zentralkordilleren von Costa Rica, Panama bis Kolumbien, in Höhenlagen von 350 bis 1800m in feuchten  bis nassen, niederschlagsreichen Bergwäldern an halbschattigen bis hellen Standorten mit hoher Luftfeuchte.
Anmerkungen: Sieben längliche, starke Hauptadern, auf der Blattunterseite rötlich abgesetzt, dazwischen eine weniger deutliche Queraderung, so daß die Blätter eine deutlich wellige Struktur in den Zwischenräumen aufweisen.
