Blended tops are an attractive countertop option as they are more affordable than straight end grain countertops while providing the same functionality and look.
Countertops from John Boos come with a full one year warranty and are 100% made in the USA.
Finish Options
If you will be using your countertop for food preparation or will have direct contact with food, we recommend Boos food safe oil. This is a mineral oil based finish that will penetrate deep into the wood to saturate wood fibers and prevent water stains and foreign liquids from being absorbed. Oil finishes should be re-applied every 3 to 4 weeks or when countertops become dry.
For countertops used for dining or non-food contact, varnique is a semi-gloss varnish developed by John boos that is resistant to liquids and common chemicals. Simple to clean with soap and water, varnique is low maintenance and requires no additional applications of oil or varnique.
